The hoisting plant consists of one 7 X 10 Hendrie
Ec Bolthoff steam hoisting engihe. z^he hoist is equipped
with positive indicator in plain view of engineer.
Engine is operated by hoisting engineer at engine. Engi-
Weer is 44 years old; has-had 3 years experience as en-
gineer and he is not addicted to the use_of intoxicating
liquors.
°The shaft house is,frame 40 X 50 feet. The head
frame eonsi9ts of two pasts 8" X 8" and is 25 feet high,
and is equipped with 36 inch rope filled sheave wheel.
The collar of shaft (where bucket ig used) is of suffi-
cient height to prevent persons from tripping and falling
in shaft, and is provided with a good and sufficient door
to prevent any material from falling in the shaft from
dumping**. Smith's shop is frame 16 % 30 feet.
