The water supply is good. The head waters of t ha <br />San Miguel flow within 20 feet of the shaft. The surface <br />of the mountain is maooth and covered with grass in Summer. <br />There is a road known sa the State Road to Silvertonand <br />a trail to Telluride a distance of 10 miles to both <br />towII9. <br />G E O L 0 6 Y. <br />A good geological suraq hea been made of this district. <br />The diaracter Of country rock is,AndeBite Breccia with <br />a Porphyry cap. <br />ORES AN D ORE B OBI ES. <br />The character of ore bodies are f~saure veins. There are_ <br />two veins that have .been worked upon. The Lewis has been <br />worked very extensively, the strike of these veins sre, <br />on the Ltwie H.K& 5.;. the Snowstorm Eeat and west and the <br />dip is east snd west 75°. The vein varies in width from <br />one to five feet, length opened uD 1100 feet, height 375 ft. <br />The charaot.er of enclosing rock is breecin. There are no <br />faults In the veins.
