Leavy, secretary. <br />H I S T O R Y. <br />This mine was opened in 1910 and has been worked con- <br />tinuously ever since. <br />T O P O G R A P H Y. <br />This gr.up of mines is located on a rough but not very <br />steep mountain with ari altitude of 12,000 feat, there la <br />no t.imbar on t•hemountain. The water supply is Prom Junta <br />Creek: A trail connects the mine with railroad. <br />G E O L 0 ~ Y. <br />A good geological survey has been mare of this district. <br />The character of 'he countr~~ rock~is Andesite breccia. <br />ORE S AND 0 RE BO DI E S. <br />They are working two veins at present, the Wasatch and <br />Orion. Strike of these veins is Northeast and Southwest <br />dip 70°. Width of vein 6 feet, length 4500 feet height <br />700 feet. The eharacter~of vein filling is quartz, iron <br />and sulphides. The character of enclosing rocks is <br />Andeaite breccia. All the ore is milling ore. The metals <br />are gold, silver and iron, with an average assay vrlus <br />of X10.00 per ton. <br />SURFAC E PL ANT. <br />The surface giant consists of one 6 drill air compressor. <br />I 50 H. ?. electric motor, one smith's shop at mill, <br />one boarfli~g house to aecomedat 40 men, one 50 ton ore <br />bin.
