„. <br />e- <br />of <br />$1.00 <br />o. and <br />308 <br />~tle <br /> <br /> <br />ORE OCCURR/(NOE. <br />The ore of the distriot consists of sulphides of lead, <br />~zina and iron, /of ten aaoompanied by barite (heavy spar) and <br />which carry Silver values probably in the form of eulphurettee. <br />~ The ore ocoure at the contact oP the dolomite lime with the <br />(blue lima: This aontaot stands at an angle of BO degrees from <br />the horizontal and the strike would be northeast and southwest. <br />The foot wall of the ore bodies is always therefore <br />dolomite, which stands well, while the hanging wall is a lime <br />shale that is exceedingly hard to hold by any eyeterq of <br />timbering. The largest pay ore shoots occur where.thie contact <br />is cut by cross faultings. <br />DEVELOPMENT. <br />Hope Tunnel 6'x 7' in olear, 6200 ft. long. <br />Besides the b200 feet of main tunnel there is about 360 <br />feet of drifting done and about 80 feet of raising. <br />METHOD OF MINING AND TI]ABERING. <br />The rook ie drilled by maohine and trammed to tho eurfaoe <br />by hand in the regulation mine oar.
