Spruce and Pine, prepared by hand. underground tramming
is done by trolly. One Oaq, 2,000 gallon water pump is
used for draining. The system of ventilation,ia natural.
The shaft is divided into two compartments. One is bucket
and the other is for employes. The shaft is provided with
ladder~+way. The ladders are safe, secure and accessible
at all times for employes. Landings are provided at each
20 feet. Ladders are connected with winzes. At least
one of the man-ways is kept in reach, equipped with good
ladders at all times. The mine has but two Baits for
employes. Candles are used for lighting underground.
