Mining.
The main opening to the mine is a tunnel driven on the vein for
shout 1600 feet Yn length the oourse being about North Esat.
There is also 365 feet of cross cuta•at different points whioh
taps the tWO veins that cross th8 nroperty,t3iere is also an up-
raise 25 Feet in height about 1500 feet from the portal.
There are no buildings at the entrance to the tunnel,Pire doors
are also provided.
Mine methods. •
Method of ore extraction:-Stoping and drifting-Machine drills
are employed:-Waugh and Sulllvan.Also single hand drilling.
Timbering:-Stulla and drift seta-SUfficient.idative timber.
Ordinary mine chutes-Undergroung tramming by :~.en,with ordinary
mine cars on I2 lb.to the yard rail.
Ventilation:-Natural draft-sufflcient.Lighting underground by
candles.
