Co., <br />___ RY9: Loach Mgr., Boulder, Colo., and is operated by Otto <br />_ ~ Hinman and George Retallaok, Nederland, Colo. <br />- H I S T O R Y. <br />-- The Cold Spring vein is one of the earliest locations <br />of the district and has been worked by the company and laas- <br />ere since its discovery. Work was commenced in June 1916 <br />by Hinman and'Retallack and they have worked continuously <br />since that time. <br />T O P O G R A P H Y. <br />The mine 1s situated on the south slopo of the mountain <br />north of the Nederland dam at an altitude of 9000 feet. <br />Part of the claim has ~aok pine timber and no streams of <br />water. There are good wagon,roads leading to Nederland, <br />Concentrating Mill and Railroad at Cardinal and Boulder. <br />GEOLOGY. <br />There ie s good goologioal survey of the district. <br />'Pha oliaraoter of the country roots io granito and parphy. <br />O R E S m 0 R'E B O D I E S. <br />The ore body is a truo fissure and there ie but one <br />vein. 'The strike of vein is East and I4est with a dip to the <br />north. Tha ore shoot, is ]snown to be 200 feet in langth and <br />260 Poet in dopth. Tho voin filling ie tWigsten and talc <br />and metale tungstat of iron. All vein fillings arc oonoen- <br />trating with more oz• loos solid tungston. Tho onolosing <br />walls are granite and porphy. <br />
