Principal office <br />located at Telluride, Colorado, with branch office at Placer- <br />villa, Colorado. <br />H I S T O R Y <br />Date of original location, year 1909. Work Was not <br />continued, but reopened in 1911. <br />T O P O G R L P R Y <br />This gsoap of mines is located in the foot hills of <br />what is known as the Paradoz VaYley. The surface is some= <br />what rough and broken, with steep slope to the Horth, has <br />an altitude of 6,600 feet. The water supply consists of <br />a spring on Cliff Ho. 1, also a small stream of water run- <br />ning through the valley from Thunderbolt Gulch. Water is <br />carried in pipes to boarding house and other workings. The <br />surface of the foot hills are covered with cedar and pinon. <br />L fairlq good wagon road connects the mine with the D. & R. <br />G. 8. Ry. at Placerville, a distance of seventy-five miles. <br />G E O L O G Y <br />Ho geological survey has been made so far ae known. The <br />character of the country rock is sandstone. <br />ORES LlTD ORE H OD IES <br />The character of ore bodies are blanket end horisontal <br />veins. Only one vein is being worked at present. Character <br />oY ore bodlee is Uranium and Qanadium. The dip of this vein <br />is 10~ Hozth, width 4 feet, length 1,000 feet, height 80 <br />feet. Character of vein filling ie sand stone. L11 the <br />ore shoots ere continuous. 'The character of the enclosing <br />rocks is sand atone. The treatment of ose 1s wet oonoentrat- <br />ing by leaching and participation.
