Dorrd of Idaho Springs, <br />Coiirada: <br />The group is situate near the top, and on the south aide <br />ot~Chioago mountain and at an altitudo of 9,000 feet. A good <br />wagon road oonneota the mine with .Idaho Springs. Colorado, a <br />distanoe of four miles. <br />FPork was started in February, 1911 and has been oontin- <br />uous sinoe this time but the produotion of ore is small, aver- <br />aging about Live tons per month as a total of three men only <br />employed about the mtn~. <br />Charaoter of ore bodies, fissure veins, with an ave=age <br />width of the vein of two feet. Fifty por oent of ors is amelt- <br />ing and fifty poroent is of a ooneentrating nature. Average <br />value is X30 par ten. The •ein tilling is iron sulphides and <br />quartz and the metals are gold, silver, oopper, lead and sohis- <br /> <br />! tees. <br />i'he surtaoe plant oonaiste ei an upright, 26 h.p. boiler <br />! and a 6" x 8", flat iriotion, steam hoist.
