Reopened in <br />1913. <br />T O P O G R A P H Y <br />This group of mines is located at an altitude of <br />10,500 feet. Character of the surface is rough, with some <br />timber. There is a good mater supp~.y from Berber Creek. There <br />,,are good roads to 4111a Grove, trhere the ore ie shipped. <br />G E O L O G Y <br />There is a good geological survey of this district. <br />Charaater of country rock is andersite breccia. <br />O R E S A N D O R E B O D I E S <br />The character of ore bodies is fissure veins. Thero <br />is one vein with a strike Borth and South, and dips to the l9est. <br />Width of vein 4 feot, length 3,000, height b00. Character of <br />enclosing rocks is porphyry and andesite. Ore shoots are oon- <br />tinuous. Character of voin filling, quartz iron sulphides. <br />There are no faults in the vein. tdoet of the metals are gold. <br />About one-third smelting ore and 2/3 ooncontrating.
