Dear Sir:
Replying to yours of the 11th.
We expect to blow in our first two Purnaoes December let,
each having a capacity of frog 250 to 350 tone per dayv depending
on the character of the charge. The proce:ta Ss straight matting,
using copper as abase, and our Dr. F, R. Carpenter, metallurgist,
x111 be well known to you by reputation as a successful metallur-
gist at Deadvrood.
We expect to draw from all over the country for our ores and
x111 require a large siliceous tonnage, as fully 6O~ and possibly
7~ of our charge will be siliceous ores.
To start with, our only difficulty will be to purchase
sufficient copper. We have plenty of iron contracted and we
think our outlook ie good for silica, If.you can give me any
pointers on any copper that you know of, I will appreciate it
very much.
Tatar on, I will take pleasure in giving you more extended
soles in rePard to this plant. For the presrnt we do not care
to say very much about it and our plans.
