by an upraise, is a singi.e tracl: tunnel of 1,389 Yeet, making the
total development of this system 12,260 feet. The total cost of
this work to date amounts to ~20b,289.b2, or an average of16.75
per foot Yor, all vrork done. .Something over 10,:000 teat of this
wo rk is a double tracY..tunnel, 8 by 8_12 ieet in the olear, with
enclosad,water,way„bolow the track, axrd 20 pound rails; the cost
of which including ell timbers, 1s covered by these figures: Owing
