Abstract of Report <br />-ON- <br />'rHE OLDEN (JYCLE MINE <br />Situate on the East Spur of Bull Hill, Cripple Creek Mining District, <br />Teller County, Colorado. <br />This property is located on the southeast spur of Bttll Hill attd contains a portion of the <br />mineralized belt which runs through the town of Independence, the Vindicator, Lillie and <br />Christmas properties. <br />AREA. <br />The form of the property is a parallelogram, measuring approximately 1,550 feet from north <br />to south, by a width of about 650 feet at the southern end and 800 feet at the northern end. <br />The total area under which the owners have the right to mine. and .extract ore is 24.24 <br />acres, of which the La Belle Electric Company has surface rights on 5.14 acres. <br />GEOLOGY. <br />This property is situated near the throat of the Cripple Creek volcano, and the country is <br />~' composed in part of trachytic phnnolite and in part of breccia, intersected by a few phonolite <br />dykes, also inclined dykes or sheets of phouolyte dipping at the low angle of eight degrees to <br />ten degrees from the horizontal in a northerly direction towards the throat of the volcano <br />underneath the town of Independence. It is intersected by nttmerotts veins, nearly all having <br />a general northwest and southeast course and a dip either vertical or southwesterly. <br />VEINS. <br />There are five main veins on this property, which, beginning at the: westernmost, are desig- <br />nated as follows;- <br />NO. 1-HARRISON VEIN. <br />This vein, the westernmost of the group, traverses the property for 980 feet in length, avd <br />has been opened by levels connected with the main Cycle shaft for a total. length of 650 feet <br />and to a depth of 500 feet below the surface. <br />This vein contains the longest ore chute of any in the property, being 470 feet in length, <br />and from four feet to ten feet in width. The ore obtainable from the present workings on this <br />vein, including nothing north of the present north faces of the levels nor anything under the <br />lowest level of the Dalzell lease, should be 13,210 tons, yielding a net profit over all expenses <br />of $198,612, an average of $15.03 net profit per ton, <br />
