The bottom of <br />the shaft being in the Cambrian Quartzite nt the present. <br />Tho properties of the grou p Produood a largo tannage <br />of oro from the uppor aontaot or oarbonate zone and also from <br />the lower oonteat or sulphide zone. <br />1'he oro Pram the uppor aontaat consisted of oxides and <br />carbonates of lead, zlnar iron and manganese whioh in tunny oeoes <br />carried high values in silver. Tho lower contact minerals were <br />sulphides of the same minerals. <br />1'ho fissures whioh ore to bo found in eastern part of the <br />district are leoking here, the oro deposits being, confined almost ~ ~ <br />j <br />entirely to the blanket or oontiaot ooaurenoo.
