Walker, St. Louis Mo. <br />Jesse F. Mc Donald, Leadville, Colorado. <br />John A. Ewing, Leadville, Colorado. <br />The board of directors consists of: <br />C. J. Walker, W.J. Hardin, J. L Gaff, C. W. Chamberlain, <br />and J. C. C. Waldeck. <br />The officers of the comnany are as follows: <br />President, J. L. Goff, Chemical Bldg., St. Louis, Mo. <br />Vice-President, J.C.O. Angus, Leadville, Colorado. <br />The main office of the aompany is at Leadville, <br />Colorado, but a branoh office ie maintained in the Chemical <br />Building in St. Louis, Mo. <br />HISTORICAL. <br />Many years ago it was found that many of the wet down <br />town mines around Leadville, were in the same water basin and <br />that by combining and keopin~ one largo pumping plant working <br />against the water in thin basin, the operators could save <br />mousy aver what a number of smaller plants would cost to <br />operate anfl still keep all the mines around the pumping shaft <br />unwatered. <br />For a number of years the mines known ao down town <br />mines have not been corking awing to the dullness of the <br />timae~enfl the exoeesive oost neoeesary to Pump the water. <br />, <br />Last year Gov.•Jossa F. Mo Donald aoncaived the idea <br />of again unwatering these properties whioh have produoed <br />millions of dollars and still have vast mineral deposits <br />~ whioh should now be ~erkod at a profit, and to that end <br />
