There is no timber near. The water <br />supply is Prom a small stream. A wagon road connects <br />mine with railroad. <br />G E O L O G Y. <br />A good geological survey has been made of this district. <br />The character of the c:ountr~~ rock is as in U S G E folio <br />120. <br />O R E S A N P O R E A O D I E S. <br />One vein is no•v beil'ig ~~orked with strike northwest, dip <br />74° W. The vein le 2 feet-wide, length and height unknown. <br />The character of ve1S- filling is quartz with iron and copper <br />pyrites. The character of enclosing rocks is marizonite. <br />The ore is about ~ smelting and ~ concentrating. The metals <br />are gold, silver and copper. The gangue Se quartz. <br />S U R F A C E P L A N T. <br />One boiler not in use. one number 10 Imperial air com- <br />pressor, one 75 h.p. electric motor, one smith's shop <br />40 feet from tunnel, one drying room and office. Surface <br />transportation is done by wagon and railroad. <br />E% P L O S I V E S. <br />40~ Hercules Dynamite, slow burning inauloid Quae, and <br />wooden tamping bare are used. Explosives in excess of one <br />days use are_atored in a wooden building 400 feet Prom <br />tunnel. About 1000 pounds are kept In storage. A hot water <br />bolter is used for thawing powder.
