<br />Burlei h Tunnel,
<br />25 Peet south of the mouth of,the Burleigh Tunnel,
<br />ie located a power house, v~hich is undergoing some alter-
<br />ations and. additions, due to the installation of additional
<br />new machinery,
<br />The povaer house. at the present time, contains
<br />one, 80 H. P, horizontal return tubular boiler, (Stearns-
<br />Rogers) using creek water, carrying a preasure of 100,
<br />and fired with Northern coal; one six drill Ingersoll-
<br />Sargent compressor, maintaining 90~ air pressure, which
<br />is conducted into the Burleigh tunnel, and up. over the
<br />hill, through the Hercules tunnel, by a 3 inch air line.
<br />Note,
<br />A new double cross compound Corliss valve,
<br />Rand compressor, with a capacity of 1700 cu,'ft, per minute,
<br />is being installed at the present time,
<br />The blacksmith shop, consisting of one F~raa ;o
<br />located in the boiler room in the above building, V
<br />A large frame building, containing old boilers
<br />and air compressors, also blacksmith shop, which is used
<br />at the present time for the purpose of sharpening leasers
<br />drills, is located at the mouth of the Hercules .Tunnel,
<br />A large ore house, containing ore bins and
<br />sorting floor, is located about 150 ft, south of the Hercu-
<br />les tunnel,
<br />Buildings are located at the mouth of the Pelican
<br />and Diamond tunnels, but same are not in use at .the present
<br />time,
<br />A double geared, 30 H.P. Lidgerwood Hoisting
<br />Engine, is installed. at the Seven Thirty shaft, in the
<br />Hercules tunnel, Same is not in use at the preaent. time,
<br />Protection against fire is afforded by hose con-
<br />nections and fire extinguishers.
<br />Surface transportation is effected by good wagon
<br />roads, and Colorado & Southern Railroad,
<br />The method of ore treatment employed is smelting
<br />and concentration. The Cainpany at the present time, are
<br />erecting a 100 ton concentrator, at the mouth of-the
<br />Burleigh tunnel,
