The result of this decomposition is usually termed surface ore and <br />consists largely~of a honey-combed quartz more or .less stained with the oxidas of <br />iron containing the gold in n free state. Pyrite and~chalcopyrite lr+oses its~eul- <br />phur as does the galena and apkwlerite resulting in oxidoarcarbonates and sulphates, <br />,.
