The blacksmith shop has compressed air connections to
the forge ahd hoe electrically driven drill press and grinders
and air driven Leyner drill sharpener.
The engine room contains an Ingersoll-Rand, Imperial
Type 10, air compressor, (cap. 485 cu. ft. of air per min.
at 17b R.P.M), which is driven by a b0 H.P. G. E. motor, a
pump to be used incase of fire which will handlo 125 gale..
of water. per min., and which is driven by a 10 H.P. G. B.
motor. ..Childs chemical tanks are also kept pn hand to be
ueed in .case of Piro.
Electrical motor. haulage is used Prom No. 2 level, while
mule haulage is ueed from level No. 1 whenever it ie necessary
to bring ore out by .the way of that level.
Ths~eaw-mill hoe ,just been installed and it will
undoubtedly prove to bo a great convenience and saving ae
it will allow of ell the short pieces of tho large timbers
being cut up into head boards and thus utilized.
COSTS AND STATISTICS.
This property is producing about 35,000 tons of oro per
rom
year.
Tho.timber used .in the mine is cut nearby and hauled to
tho mina where it is framed in the company's mill. Tha aoet
of the timber alone.amounte to about ;4,000 a year or .12 ].~2
to the ton of ore mined, while Lf the cost of labor in
putting these timbers in plsae underground he added to this
the .total cost will amount to from 66 to 7b oente per ton
of ore minod.

Tha powder costa approxlmately .16 a pound, fueo .60 a
hundred feet and nape X1.00 per box.
Ooat of hauling ore from the property to the railroad
f~verages about .80 a ton and the railroad freight to
Denver or Leadville'1s X3.00 per ton.
