.VEINS.
The veins of this property coneiet of a series of~more or•
less parallel.veine, whioh dip at an angle of about 60
degrees from the horizontal and strike N.E. and 5.4:. The
width of these veins varies from a few inches to twenty feet.
These veins ooaur in a diorite, which is of a swelling nature
and extremely hard to hold.
A large amount of timber is used and the management,
>:nowing the danger existing in this kind of ground, watch
it very closely at all times.
The analysis of the crude are of the mine on an average

WORRINGS.
The workings on this property coneiet of a aeries of
tunnels with a oribbed winzo passing through two of the
tunnels and connecting tho levels below tho lowest tunnel
level. This winzo starting from No. 1 level at a paint
650 feet from the portal and 3b0 feet below the surface is
sunk on a vein, which dips at an angle of 80ofram the
horizontal, a distanoe of`9b foot to Level No. 2, whioh
level opens to the eurfaoe and is used as the main haulage
tunnel and is equipped by eleotrical haulage system, from
Level No. 2 to Level No. 3 on the same dip, the winzo is
sunk b dietanoa of 116 feet and from Level No. 3 to Level
Ho. 4 a dietanoe of 160 foot or a dietanoe.of 380 feet from
top to bottom. Thera is s large amaunt of drifting and
croesautti~g dono on each level and thsro are a numbor of
old tunnels above Level No. 1 whioh aro not in use at the.
prosent time.

Hoisting ie done by means oP an electrio hoist driven by
a 36 H.P. Oen. E. mat or. A skip is used in hoisting, whioh
is loaded from ohutes din tho hanging wall and nil oro ie •
hoisted and dumpod into ore pooketo whioh have outlets on
Level No. 2 from where ~it is trammod to the mill.
