^ <br />Jessie No. 3 <br />Q'.' <br />GEOLOGY. <br />The.dietrict is covered by.a geological survey~ma'de by <br />Frede.riak Leslie Ranaome.' <br />The formation in evidence on this property to slate, <br />lime shale and quartz monzonite porphyry. <br />ORE BODIES AND ORE. . <br />The: ore ir.:i;ha property occurs in fissures in the quartz <br />monzonite porphyry,. which fissures as far ae determined do <br />not extend into the shale or alate.• Oro has been produced <br />from some fourteen or Pifteon.different fissures vrhich are <br />more or lase parallel and strike tJ.44 degrees E. and dip <br />to the north west at a. very small angle from the vertical. <br />The principal value of this ore is in Fold and while <br />some very rich ore has been produced from the diffoi'ent <br />fissures it ie the hope of the present operators to obtain <br />a general average value of four dollars per ton. <br />The values undoubtedly occur in the oxidized and quartz <br />streaks throughout the•porphyry. <br />WORI(INGS. <br />The woMcings on thin property consist of a number of <br />tunnels and upon pits on the surface. Prom these tunnole <br />much caoeeautting and etoping has boon done and it is <br />sstirnatod that thorn arc about fifteen miles of workings on <br />the property.
