TITLE. <br />4~iU <br />The title is vested in tha Comodore Yining Company, incorpor- <br />ated under the laws of the State of Colorado, with e <br />capital stock of $2,000,000.00 par value $1.00 per share. <br />Principal offDoe located at 830 Equitable Building, <br />Denver, Colo. <br />A. Hunt4hrey Seoy and Trees. <br />H I S T O R Y. <br />Date of original opening not known. <br />Pate of original opening by this Company June 1895. <br />T O P O G R A P R Y. <br />This group of mines la located 91i a very rough and steep <br />mountain, with en altitude of 9500 feet. The water aupFly <br />consists of one good sized stream, called Aest Willow <br />Creek, which flows within one hundred feet of the sorting <br />house and uppertram terminal. There is not timber on <br />these claims. A good wagon road and 8n aerial tramway <br />connsets mine with railroad a distance of 3000 feet. <br />G E O L O G Y. <br />A good geological survey hsa been made of this district. <br />The character of the country rock le sndeaite breccia with <br />some rhyolite cap. <br />O R E S A N D O R E H O D I E S. <br />The character of ore bodies are fissure veins. There is <br />one vein that has bean worked upon very extensively, The <br />Comodore Vein. The strike of this vein is north and south <br />and the dip is 70° west, the vain varies in width from <br />two to fortq feet, length 1500 feet, height 1400. Ohar- <br />octet of enclosing rocks are andeaite breccie. There ere <br />no faults in the veins. The ore sk~s* shuts in tha Commo- <br />dore is continuous. The charaoter of vein filling is <br />country rock quartz, iron and sulphides. The metals are <br />mostly silver with a little lead. Nine tenths of tha vein <br />filling ie smelting ore, with en average of ;15.00 per ton. <br />The production le about 1000 tone per month.' <br />S~RFA C E PL ANT. <br />-3- <br />
