ORE BODIES AND ORES. <br />The Santiago vein has a general N.E. and S,S4, strike, dipping <br />slightly to the N.W. It has a width varying from two, to ten <br />feet, vrith an average evidth of 3-1~2 ft. <br />The vein filling consists of a talcoae, quartzcse and <br />feldspathic mixture, containing streaks of iron and copper <br />pyrites, together evith lead and zinc sulphides, same being gold <br />and silver bearing, Fine specimens of the carbonate of lead <br />and sulphides of bismuth and copper and zinc, are found in the <br />vein. <br />The ore body, as exposed by the four ad it levels, is <br />remarkable i'or its size and continuity and for variety of <br />minerals contained. <br />Tlie principal ores, are galena, iron and copper <br />pyrites, containing gold and silver values. <br />
