8 X 8ie and ie 735 ft, deep. Hoisting ie bq steam with crags;
men are raisod and lowered with hoisting machinery, weight
of load hoisted 2,000 ibe. a distance of 700 Pt. Cable ie
a 7~8 round steel cable in good condition, been in use about
six years. Hook or fastening used at end of cable is Dlampe;
same were changed 60 days age. Cage is equipped with bonnet
and safety oltltohes which are tested every day. Bell line
is a 1~2" steel~oable with a 12^ gvng. State node of signals
are employed which are posted at all proper places; all
persons are prohibited from riding on loaded cage.
