The water supply <br />consists of one small stream, called Oray Copper Creek. <br />Which flows within 100 feet of the main tunnel and boa8d- <br />ing house. There is some timber on the property. A good <br />wagon road connects mine with Ouray and D $ R. G. R. R. <br />a distance of 8 miles. <br />O E O L O G Y. <br />A good geological survey has been made oP this district. <br />Tha character of the country rock is andesite bneccia <br />with some porphyry. <br />ORES AND ORR HODI,~S. <br />The character of ore bodies are fissure veins. There is <br />one vein that has been worked upon very extensively. The <br />Indiana vein. Tha strike of this veih 1s north and south <br />and the dip is 70° east. The vein varies in •+vldth from <br />3 to 8 feet, length 3000 feet, height 450. Charaoter of <br />enclosing rocks are andesite bneccia with soma porphyry. <br />There are no faults in the veins. The ore shoot in the <br />Indiana are continuous. The character of vein filling is <br />country rook quarts, iron end sulphides. The netaie are <br />gold, silver and copper. All of the ono is smelting ors <br />with an average of $18.00 per ton. The mine has several <br />thousands tone of ore on the dumps, readq to ship as soon <br />_y~ <br />
