The site is a small 7acre sand and gravel operation located approximately i mile south of
Peyton. A portion of the permit area, consists of pre law disturbance is the case with most of the county
pits. According to the annual report, and what was noted on site, the site has been inactive for over two
years. According to the operator's representatives, El Paso County is re testing the material for gradation
and r-values. If the test results meet the requirements, the county plans to convert the 110 into a 112. If it
does not meet the required specification, since the resource in the existing permitted pit is exhausted; the
operator will have to commence reclamation. The pit floor was holding some water from the recent storm.
Some rills were noted in the pit slopes, however, since all the drainage is towards the pit, it can be
addressed during reclamation. Permit sign and boundary markers were properly posted.
I & E Contat Address
NAME: RICHARD CROCKER
OPERATOR: EL PASO COUNTY
STREET: 3460 N.MARKSHEFFEL RD,
CITY/STATE/ZIP: COO ADO SPRTN .S, CO 80422
JAMES STEVENS ! -7 q cc: ❑ CE
❑ BL y+ 43 b / oC 7
"P
❑ FS
❑ HW
❑ HMWMD (CH)
❑ SE
❑ WQCD (CH)
11 OTHER
