III. Comments/Compliance
This was an aerial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG from photos taken on the
afternoon of Thursday, February 3, 2005. The mine site was quiet and deserted. Weather
was overcast. There was ;;now cover over the entire site with the exception of the steepest
slopes and some spots on the reclaimed benches.
There was no sign of instability or erosion on the west side of Hubbard Creek. The former
stockpile area was snow-covered. That area is stable.
The benches -both upper and lower -appeared stable. They were mostly snow-covered,
but there was no indication of instability on either bench. It appears that the spring on the
north end of the lower bench was seeping, as the snow was melted from that area and there
were an abundance of wildlife tracks around that area.
Pond 5 was covered with i<;e and snow, as were the ditches. The ice was gone from
Hubbard Creek and it was also flowing freely.
The upper road to the upper bench showed no sign of instability or erosion. The lower road
also appeared to be stable.
Pond 3 and 4 were both filled with snow. The embankments appeared stable in the air
photos.
The lower access road showed no signs of instability or erosion.
Records were checked in the Delta County courthouse.
