.; <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection <br />and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Ohio Creek Coal Mine #2 for the month of May, 2001. The <br />weather was extremely foggy at the site. <br />Hydrologic Balance: The site is experiencing a good year as far as vegetative growth is concerned <br />therefore there were no signs of any significant erosion. The pond had a trace of water in it but was <br />not discharging. The pond is stable and appears to be able to completely function as designed. <br />General Mine Compliance: No problems were observed despite the extreme fog. <br />Reclamation Success: As mentioned above, the vegetation is doing very well at this time of year. If <br />grazing does not take it down to the ground, the site could pass a phase II bond release in my <br />estimation. <br />
