(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-19RA-17159
INSPECTION DATE: Aprils 917)n1 INSPECTOR=S INITIALS: C'RM
OBSERVATIONS
This was a site inspection conducted by Carl B. Mount and Kate Pickford of the Division of Minerals and
Geology in response to ongoing site reclamation. Attending the inspection was Mr. Mike Frick of Dirt-n-
Iron, representing the operator, Mining and Minerals Ltd.
The site was in similar condition to when it was last inspected, however, building clean up and security
have improved. The outer metal sheeting of the mill building has been removed and most of the area
inside has been cleaned up. Almost all the milling equipment is still in place but will be removed this
- - .summer.The lab/office building is not yet secured and potentially hazardous chemicals exist including the
following:
4 - 55 Gallon drums labeled as FeSO4 waste,
1 -35? Gallon drum of Sodium Cyanide
2-55 Gallon drums of Boric Acid
2- 55 Gallon drums of Soda Ash
2- 55 Gallon drums of CaC104 (Calcium Chlorate)
These chemicals must be disposed of properly and bills of lading or receipts indicating their proper
disposal submitted to the Division of Minerals and Geology.
The shop building is now secured and seems well organized. However, the gate at the entrance to the
site is still easily bypassed. This may become a moot point as hazardous conditions at the site are
alleviated this summer.
The Division still recommends that the operator upgrade the gate and secure the buildings to prevent
access by people not associated with the site at this time or properly dispose of the hazardous
chemicals at the site within 90 days.
Bond is adequate at this time.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Ms. Barbara Chalmers
OPERATOR: Mining and Minerals.
