Reveeetation: The outslope near the supercurve is still very poorly vegetated. There was some
erosion across the west ridge area, including the road. Vegetation is still sparse, of course, in
this azea with no topsoil. There were lots of weeds around the Center Ridge pond azea -
houndstongue and thistle.
There was a great deal of thistle on the Moffat dam. The azea near the pond where new fence
has been erected is infested with houndstongue. Unfortunately, the seeds aze already dispersing
this year.
Goat Trail: The powerline corridor was in excellent condition, with good vegetative growth.
Even the very top of the corridor, which had slumped several yeazs ago, was stable. There was
no significant erosion noted on the condor. There was some erosion mostly on the lowest
stretch of road. A powerline is down across the goat trail, crossing in two places. The slump
azea above the substation seemed to be stable. Cattails still grow from the slumped area above
the road, indicating it is wet. Lots of grass was in seed -western wheatgrass, timothy,
squineltail, along with abundant yellow sweet clover in bloom. There were some weeds, both
on the upper and lower reaches of the road -some thistle and houndstongue. Both cutslopes and
outslopes of the road were well vegetated and showed no erosion, not even on the steeper upper
portions of the trail. There was some rockfall on the road.
