REPORT PAGE 4 <br />Eckman Park and Mine #1 <br />excessive and would stabilize upon controlling the drainage source. <br />Both responses to Violation #3 of 82-4-1-4 and Violation #1 of 82-2-1-5 <br />were aeemed inappropriate by OShI and in conflict with 2 CCR 40.7-2, <br />Section 4.16.6 1) and 5.03.2 2 a AN OSM reinspection was scheduled <br />for Mav or June 1983 because snow cover made the inspection of erosion <br />impossible until late Spring 1983. OS[•1 reinspected these violations on. <br />6 9/83 and found the violations not abated. Erosion on Area #1 was <br />uncharged; however, erosion at Area #41 had worsened significantly. At <br />Area #1 approimately 13 gullies over 9 inches could be found in the <br />reclaimed surface. These 13 gullies ranged from 9 to 20 inches in <br />depth, 25 to 300 feet in length, and averaged 1 fo~>t in width. At Area <br />#41 approximately 7 gullies were found ranging from 9 to 30 inches in <br />depth, 15 to 325 feet in length and 2 to b feet in,width. Notice of <br />Violation 83-2-6-2 was issued for "Excessive rilliiig and gullying deeper <br />than 9 inches in Areas #1 and #41 which have been ~>reviously reoraded <br />and tbpsoiled." . <br /> <br /> <br />
