(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: nn_~gg9_nen
INSPECTION DATE: 1 ~/~8/na
OBSERVATIONS
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: KI S
This was a monitoring inspection conducted as part of DMG's inspection program for permitted operations.
Don Blake, the Lincoln County Land Use Administrator; and Jim Leach and Mark McHone, also with Lincoln
County, accompanied us on the inspection.
The C&D Farms site involves mining the bed of the Arikaree River - a normally dry channel. Per the May 2004
annual report, no material was removed during the prior year because there had not been sufficient stream
flow to transport new material to the mine area for removal.
The operator reported that they remove material and keep the same working area to avoid disturbing the
outer bank (See Photo 1). A material stockpile was observed in a location consistent with the Mining Plan Map
(See Photo 2).
Material from this site is used to construct and maintain roads in the county's Road District 2.
Very minor Canadian thistle and blazing star were noted. Operator should continue monitoring for weeds.
Cattle run the property.
The identification sign was properly posted at the public entrance to the site and the affected area boundaries
were clearly marked.
No problems were noted. This concluded the inspection of the C&D Farms mine site
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Mr. Don Blake cc: CE
OPERATOR: Lincoln County Land Use Office BL
STREET: P_n Rnx 39 FS
HW
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Hugn_ CC) ROR91 HMWMD (CH)
SE
WOCD (CH)
OTHER
