(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-7977-'745
INSPECTION DATE: 7 7/71/07 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: KAP
OBSERVATIONS
1. This inspection was conducted as part of the Division of Minerals and Geology's monitoring plan. Present at the
inspection were Kate Pickford, DMG, and Louie Hammon, Holnam, Inc. Weather at the time of inspection was
partly cloudy, calm, and approximately SS degrees.
2. A permit sign and boundary markers were in place at the site. Much or all mining at this site has been completed. Little
reclamation activity has occurred to date at the site. Most of [he slopes at the site are 3H:1 V or less, although final
reclamation may require some grading. No seeding has occurred, yet much of the sloped areas has been naturally
revegetated and contains very low densities of weeds. The floor of the pit is primarily devoid of vegetation and topsoil is
not available at the site, as it was lacking at the site when mining began.
3. Mr. Hammon advised that Holnam, Inc. will be closing the nearby cement plant, probably within a near. The company
will be incorporating afive-year reclamation plan to reclaim all the mine-related disturbances in the area within five years,
including the Boettcher Quarry.
4. All previous activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to be following the guidelines set forth in
the mining plan for the pit, and all conditions at the time of the inspection fell within regulations.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Louie Hammon
OPERATOR: Holnam, Inc.
STREET: P.O Box 1548
CITY/STATE/ZIP: a Port O 80535
cc: ^ CE
^ BL
^ FS
^ HW
^ HMWMD (CH)
^ SE
^ WQCD (CH)
X OTHER -Carl Mount, DMG
