}•
III. Comments/Compliance
This was a partial inspection conducted by Jim Burnell of CDMG on the afternoon of
Wednesday, January 9, 2002. The site was quiet and deserted. The weather was cool and
sunny, with some residual snow in the shady spots and other places wet.
Vegetation is sparse on the East mine, where the area between the old Highway 133 and the
river was treated this past year. There was ample evidence of recent heavy rain, but there
was no erosian of the amended area and no offsite impact at the bank of the river at the East
mine where there is a small berm that remains intact.
The road ditches at the East mine were wet, but contained no standing water. There had
been no recent movement on the slumps from the cut slope above the road. These slumps
were seeping very small amounts of water.
Ttrere was no sigFl of instability er erosion on the ~nidrlle mine.
The pond was wet and contained some snow.
The west mine has dense vegetation. There was no off-site impact on the west mine.
