This Office would like to
take the time to thank you personally and Umetco in general for going beyond the required reclamation
standards on these and similaz sites. The Thunderbolt and Eagle Basin Mines have been determined to
be readd~ for release. Once this Office receives written acceptance from Lynn Lewis of the BLM, the
sites and sureties will be released.
The Bitter Creek Mine sloping and pock work are all acceptable. Current climatic conditions aze not
conducive to good success with revegetation efforts, but hopefully they will improve soon.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 S. 3rd St., Suite 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no.
970.241.1117.
Sinter/ely~, . ,, ~l
G.
