III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include disc ssi~~observ~a on <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a complete inspection of the Hayden Gulch Mine conducted by Jim Stark of <br />CDMG. The mine site is reclaimed. The weather was cold and clear and there was <br />snow on the ground. Only the two shrub parcels that are immediately off the county <br />road were accessible due to the snow and mud at the site. <br />Availability of Records: All of the necessary records were available at the offices of <br />Montgomery Watson Harza in Steamboat Springs. See the Records Checklist at the <br />end of the inspection for more details. <br />Sians and Markers: All of the permit boundary and mine ID signs were posted. The <br />fences around the two shrub parcels that were accessible were in good condition <br />and marked, <br />Roads: The access roads to the shrub parcel areas were covered with snow and <br />mud but appeared to be stable and in good condition, The berm of snow by the <br />access gates (from the snowplows) was gone but mud and snow on the roads made <br />them inaccessible, <br />Hvdroloaic Balance: -Pond 003 contained water but was not discharging. The pond <br />appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection, <br />- Pond HG-8 also contained water. This pond was not discharging either. The pond <br />appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. <br />Fish and Wildlife: No wildlife was observed at the site during this inspection. <br />Revegetation/Reclamation Success: The two shrub parcels that were accessible <br />were partially covered with snow. The areas of the parcels that could be seen <br />appeared to be well vegetated and in good condition, <br />Slides and Damaae: The steel stakes that have been placed across the slump area <br />were not accessible at the time of this inspection. <br />
