INSPECTION REPORT - PAGE 2
FILE N0. 78-279
DATE: July 10, 1985
OBSERVATIONS OF IMPORTANCE:
1. Mr. Baily will provide evidence indicating that the 0.49 acres, located
north and east of the road, on map (6-21-85) and the rock drainage
retention were disturbed by other parties, not related to the current
mining permit. Specify which parties, and when. Please note that if
the cut across (NE) the road was made by the County under the existing
permit, the current operator is responsible for reclamation under the
succession of operator commitments.
2. South boundary is now extended straight across to eliminate notch in
map (6-21-85).
3. Mine related disturbance extends east to the road, as now shown on
map (pencil).
4. Division has planimetered the following areas:
- modified boundary east and west of road = 9.08 acres; and
- modified boundary west of road = 8.59 acres.
5. The boundaries, as currently shown on the map ((5-21-85) amended in
field on 7/10/85), do constitute the mine permit boundaries. Any
activities occurring beyond those boundaries will be considered a
violation of the mining permit.
6. The Division encourages the operator to reclaim those areas where mining
is complete.
7. Please provide the documentation as requested above. Also, since the
acreage does exceed the approved 8.5 acres, a minor technical revision
to the permit will be required which acknowledges the agreed upon
boundaries (field 7/]0/85) and the new acreage numbers. The technical
revision will be a letter describing the new permit area and acreage as
outlined within this inspection report. Please respond by
August 20, 1985.
DB/mis
2034E
