Present during the
inspection were Tim Comer, Gary Goodrich & Mark Vanonni.
Prior to the physical inspection a brief meeting was held at the office with Lowell
Billingly Manager of the engineering and Geology group, about CC&V's plan to move the
engineering and Geology group into a new building. CC&V wants to build a new office
building in the parking faculty at the Iron clad According to Lowell, the faculty will
be approximately 9,000 square feet. The building material had not been determined yet, but
as far as the Division is concerned as long as the Division receives adequate schematics
of the building and the material it is going to be constructed from, and is submitted as
part of a TR, we will be able to calculate the needed warranty to demolish the building
and reclaim the area.
Inspected the Cresson pit Ares. The main Cresson and East Cresson (Wildhorse) area were
active. Storm water diversion structures in the area were found to be in good repair.
Eackfilling of the East Cresson pit is continuing. No problem noted.
Inspected the old Pad #3 & 4 areas. Spent ore removal in anticipation of the mine
extension is continuing. Ponds 6, 7 & 8 are in the process of being reclaimed. Liner has
been folded and overburden is placed as backfill and final contour and grading should be
completed by next month.
Inspected the Phase I, I2, I1&IV Leach pad areas and collected the following readings from
the High and Low Volume Solution Collection Transducers.
Phase I High Volume Solution Collection Transducer #1 was recorded at 7.0 (read out meter
still not functioning) #2 was at 40.6 and # 3 was at 41.0 piezometer for the pond was at
50.1 feet. Low Volume solution collection transducer #1 was recorded at .20 and # 2 was at
.31. Phase II &III High Volume solution Collection transducer # 4 was recorded at 26.0 #
5 was at 27.3 and # 6 was at 25.5. piezometer for the pond was at 27.3 feet. Low volume
transducer # 1 was at4. and #2 was at.50
Phase IV High Volume Solution Collection Transducer # 7 was recorded at 27.0, #8 was at
27.3, #9 was at 25.5 and # 10 was at 26.9. Low Volume transducer # 1 was at 17.2 and # 2
was at 8.1 inches of hydrostatic head.
Inspected the External pond, it was holding a small amount of water, all the frozen water
noted during the last inspection has melted. Low volume Solution Collection transducer # 1
for the pond was recorded at 9.5 and # 2 was at 11.4 inches of hydro static head.
Inspected the under drain area, both the south and 4 inch pipes were discharging at about
the same flow rate as was noted during the last inspection. The north under drain and
solid 24 inch pipes were dry. All lower ponds were dry.
I & E Concoct Address
NAME: T!M COMER
OPERATOR: CCAV
STREET: P_(~.ROX 191
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Vicme crn naanC RnR~n
cc: I' CE
t BL
r FS
t HW
t HMWMD (CH(
