A complete inspection was conducted. Records were checked
and were found to be in order. The specialist toured the site and inspected
the drainages and the above ground facilities and all appeared to be in
compliance. Snow cover was approximately 8 inches deep with higher drifts in
the low areas such as the ditches and ponds; this made observations
difficult. In a subsequent conversation with Mr. Canning it was learned that
at current production rates this operation would mine the coal reserves within
its current permit boundary in 2 to 3 years. No other Concerns were noted
during the inspection.
423 Centennial Building, 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 Tel. (303) 866-3567
