(Page 2)
L
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID #: M-2001-OF,B
INSPECTION DATE: 7/17/01 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ICS
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection was conducted in response to the submittal of a 112c application by Tamrock Gravel and was pre-operational
in nature. The applicant was represented during the inspection by Joe Gagliano, consultant and permitting contact.
The required notice of the application was posted at the entrance to the access/haul road leading in from Hwy 160.
With Mr. Gagliano's assistance, markers for the boundaries of the proposed permit area were located. The permit area so
delineated appeared to conform with that represented in the permit application file.
The access/haul road, as proposed, will cross an existing Colorado Interstate Gas gas line. Potential impacts to this structure
will have to be addressed in the application.
There are also a number of fences, along the boundaries of the proposed permit area and within the proposed permit area, that
could be impacted by the mining operation. According to Mr. Gagliano, all of the fences belong to the landowner.
Nevertheless, the potential impacts to these structures must be addressed in the application.
According to the proposed mine plan, the top of the small hill located in the northern part of the permit area will be mined
initially. Once this area is mined out, the operation will shift to the top of the larger hill in the southern part of the proposed
permit area. These areas will have to be linked by a haul road and the disturbance associated with this, as well as with the
topsoil and product stockpiles, will have to be included in the total of any 10 acres of phased disturbance, the amount to
which the applicant wishes to limit his reclamation bond. The mining plan will also have to establish a relationship between
the advance of mining in any subsequent 10 acre phase of mining and the reclamation completed in the preceding mining
phase in order that the Division be able to initially approve and, subsequently, to monitor and confirm the continuing
adequacy of any phased reclamation bond .
No other adequacy issued were identified as a result of this inspection.
I & E Contact Address
NAME: Mr. Brent Tamburelli
OPERATOR: Tamrock Gravel
STREET: 137 Plum
CITY/STATE/ZIP: Trinidad .
