The <br />overburden will be dumped into the excavated area as backtill. There is a lot of overbw~den, but the <br />quality of the clay makes it worthwhile. <br />in your inspection report of December 9, 1997, there was some talk of possibly a benched highwall <br />in the final reclamation. In discussion with Joe Welte, President of Summit, he said that they did <br />intend to mine out [he balance of the deposit, which would eliminate a„y highwall. Charlie Fair <br />said BLM does no[ like highwalls, so this should eliminate a possible problem with them.
