III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />~\~I <br />2~~~~ `~ <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />mode during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions token during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was a partial inspection of the GEC mine conducted by Jim Stark of CDMG. The <br />bond for this site has been forfeited and reclamation was completed by DMG. The <br />weather was cool and sunny and the ground was covered with a dusting snow. <br />Chen's Hill was covered with a dusting of snow. This area has some gullying but <br />appears to be stable at this time. The vegetation appears to be in good condition. <br />The overall vegetative cover on Chen's Hill is good. <br />The East and West Pit areas appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection, The <br />two areas below the road and the one area at the beginning of the East Pit <br />drainage that were riprapped last year are still stable. The vegetation appeared to <br />be in good condition. The East and West Pit areas have been used for cattle grazing <br />but appear to be tolerating it well. There did not appear to be any problems related <br />to the grazing. The road to the East and West Pit has some minor ruts but is in overall <br />good condition. <br />The Duck Pond, Orphan Pit and Tipple areas were also stable and in good condition. <br />They were covered with a dusting snow but the vegetative cover appeared to be <br />good. The road to these areas is the Corley Mountain Ranch road. The road is well <br />maintained and in good condition. <br />Overall the entire mine site is in good condition. <br />
