III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />GVB 3A also is no longer operational. The area around the capped hole was fenced off. <br />The mud pit was open and, what little mud that was in the pit, was dry. One subsidence <br />crack was at the pad area, about 8 inches deep. <br />GVB 1B was not operational. The capped hole was fenced off. The mud pit was still open <br />and the small amount of mud in the pit was dry. <br />GVB lA is not operational. The fence surrounds the capped well. The mud pit was still <br />open and the small amount of mud there was dry. <br />GVB 3C was operating. The vent is an approximately 10 foot high vent pipe. There was <br />no pumping unit being employed. This unit will be shut down and the well capped next <br />week when the longwall panel is moved to panel number 4 and panel number 3 is sealed. <br />GVB 2B was not active, although the vent pipe was still on the well. The unit was fenced <br />off. The mud pit was open but dry. <br />GVB 2C was not operational and [he well was capped. The well area was fenced off. The <br />mud pit was open and there was a small amount of wet mud at the bottom of the pit. <br />GVB 3B was operating with a vent pipe in place. The vent unit was fenced off. The mud <br />pit was open and the small amount of mud in the pit was wet. <br />Most of the Freeman Gulch Vent Shaft disturbance area has been seeded and mulched. <br />The operator has a little more area to seed and mulch.
