A preDminary Inepectlon was conducted on 8.2.95 and a [oNaw-up laepectlou with Hrnce Nell, pit operator, was conducted 8$-95 at 1300hra. The operatloa la approved to dlamrb 6.7 acres for extractlon and crneWng at gravel la a dry pit. The operatloa is requlred, by the permit, to malntaln the pit hlghwall at 3:1 elopes at all tlmes. The maJorlty at the elopes at the pit appeared to be graded to between a 2:1 and 3:1 elope. However the area of moat recant excavatlon has left a hlghwall approximately 25 feet high by 200 tt long.
