ROOM 215
DENVER, CO. 80203
Mr. Carl Mouht and Mr. Tony Waldron;

~I~ II~~I~~I~~~~~ II~
sss
Division of Minerdl5 & l~bnwgv
Enclosed please find photographs of our mine showing the
areas where we moved topsoil to comply with the corrective
actions stated in your minerals program inspection report.
The topsoil from the basin embankment was dozed to the west
into a pile where we talked about putting it. A ditch was
constructed to flow any water past this pile into a new storm
water sediment pond that was constructed into the sub topsoil
strata with a berm constructed of 3/4" minus fines from mining,
mixed with riprap rock. This area was then broadcast seeded with
a mixture of crested wheat grass seed like we used on the area
already reclaimed.
The topsoil that was directly along the highwall on the
north side of our pit was dozed back from the wall. We moved the
entire windrow of topsoil farther from the highwall eliminating
any chance of allowing it to fall into the working area. This
windrow was broadcast seeded with the above mentioned seed mix.
To make up for the topsoil lost along the highwall area, we
will haul in and stockpile on our current reclamation area, 6
belly dump loads of clay material from another pit to help with
the reclamation process. This material will be used on the top
of that area,
I Think this takes care of, and goes beyond, the things that
we talked about and were addressed in your Letter.
ga~ryl L. ~~le~j
Presid t
