III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br />inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br />evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This permit is in temporary cessation. There is no operational, other than maintenance, activity at the <br />site. There were no apparent changes at the site since the last inspection. <br />Roads <br />Roads were covered with snow. There was no indication of deterioration through the snow cover. <br />Hvdroloeic Balance <br />Sedimentation Ponds 1 and 2 were covered with snow. There was no discharge from the ponds. There <br />was no surface runoff at the site. <br />Backfill and Grading <br />Remaining backfilling and grading requirements are associated with long-term facilities. <br />Support Facilities <br />Structures, other than the sedimentation ponds and ditches, are in disrepair. Some structures have been <br />vandalized. Temporary repairs have been made. <br />Two soil <br />Replacement of topsoil is associated with the future reclamation of long-term facilities. Topsoil storage <br />pile were covered with snow. From the shape of snow cover, the topsoil piles appeared to be stable. <br />General Mine Plan Compliance <br />The site is in temporary cessation. No permitted work to covert the site from aload-out to a load-in <br />facility had been accomplished. <br />Reve etg ation <br />Remaining revegetation requirements aze associated with future reclamation of long-term facilities. <br />Air Resource Protection <br />The site is stable with regazd to air protection. There is no dust-generating activity at the site. <br />Slides and Damaee <br />There is an arrested slide, recorded in May 2000, at a cut on the railroad spur.
