(Page 2) • <br />MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-97-061 <br />INSPECTION DATE 01/08/01 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS ESC <br />O858RVATTONS <br />This was an inspection of the Kinnie Pit conducted by Erica Crosby of the Division of <br />Minerals and Geology. Randy Renquist of Sedgwick County was present during the inspection. <br />Weather conditions on site were clear and mild. <br />The site is located 11 miles south of Julesburg in Sedgwick County, Colorado. The 110 Mining <br />and Reclamation Permit was issued to Sedgwick County on September 5, 1997 to affect 9.9 <br />acres. <br />No mining was taking place during the inspection. A mine identification sign was posted at <br />the entrance to the site. Permit boundary markers were noted and mining is well within the <br />designated area. The deepest part of the pit is approximately 20 feet. Mining has encroached <br />into a stockpiled topsoil pile. The operator will need to move the pile to ensure that the <br />topsoil pile does not fall into the pit. The operator will need to move the pile and submit <br />documentation in the form of photographs demonstrating compliance by March 9, 2001.
