• 1 <br />III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations <br />made during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during <br />the inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />This was an aerial inspection of the Marr Strip Mine. Harry 12anney of the DMG took the <br />photographs on January 24, 2001. Skies were cloudy; the ground was snow covered. North facing <br />slopes and ridge tops are windblown. No activity was apparent on the mine site, although tire tracks <br />are visible at the shop/warehouse area. A single set of tracks is visible on the access road. <br />Water levels in all ponds appear to be frozen and the water levels are very low. <br />Numerous wildlife tracks are visible in the Marr pit area and Pit 1. No close-up photo is available <br />from the 720 pit. <br />
