Aerial photographs were taken on February 25, 2004. The aerial photographs were
reviewed by Mike Boulay of the DMG. Weather conditions were clear and sunny at the time of
the flight. Most of the mine site was snow covered. Some of the south facing slopes were free of
snow cover and vegetation was showing through the snow pack at most locations throughout the
site.
HvdroloQic Balance
Sedimentation Ponds A, B, C, and D aze visible in the photos. With the exception of Pond C,
each of the sedimentation ponds appeazs to be containing some water. The water levels appear to
be low. The ponds are snow covered and frozen at the surface. Pond embankments appeaz to be
stable and no problems were noted at any of the sediment pond locations.
Support Facilities
The light use road accessing the shop/wazehouse azea was mostly free of snow cover. The shop
and wazehouse area was viewed. This location was only partially snow covered. There was no
activity noted at the site at the time of the flight. From the photos, these facilities and perimeter
areas appear to be well maintained and no problems were noted with this aerial inspection.
