North Thomason Creek Mine Phase III Bond Release. ae.4 <br />DRMS will determine if the laboratory results of the Mine No. 3 discharge sampled on <br />April 18 demonstrates any violation of state or federal effluent limitations. DRMS will <br />determine if the 4,3 acre developed water resources area, and the remaining areas noted <br />above that were evaluated during this Phase III bond release inspection qualify for Phase <br />III bond release. DRMS will inspect the surface lands overlying coal extraction areas <br />prior to Phase III bond release. <br />The permittee will show that previous vegetation sampling demonstrating successfully <br />vegetation establishment included the areas subject to this Phase III bond release. The <br />permittee must successfully complete the maintenance activities documented during the <br />inspection. This maintenance activity includes backfilling and seeding of the sinkholes at <br />the upper end of the refuse pile, and at the settlement of the backfill at the Mine No. 3 <br />portal. The permittee also needs to reclaim the two piezometers located below the refuse <br />pile.
